A rhinoceros has mastered the art of coloring outside the lines; the very act that threatens mediocrity, the status quo, and the grazers of life that find comfort in the aforementioned.
The rhinoceros charges hard through the thick “unmanageable” jungle. When it’s stopped abruptly by a giant boulder, it sidesteps and continues charging. The rhino has 2-inch-thick torpedo repelling skin.
Unlike the cow, that falls in line… Grazing in the pasture where it finds comfort, the rhinoceros charges hard with a “damn the torpedoes” mentality, continuing to raise the question: “what is the right thing to do?” For fellow animals and self, this question remains deep in the soul of a rhino.
A rhino charges the mountain while the rest of the animals are still sleeping. Why, because time is of the essence. Intentionality is everything. Rhinos wake up early in the morning before the alarm goes off with great expectations of the day.
After exercising and spending time with its creator, the rhino is showered and dressed before the rest of the family wakes, ready to greet them with love and undivided attention. The family feels deeply known and adored by the rhino and follows in their footsteps. The rhino is famous in their household and is seen in a similar way in its community.
When rhinos play, they play hard. They master the perfect combination of respect, morals, values, and childlike fun.
Rhinos have high emotional intelligence. They understand what is needed without notice. When they are wrong, they are the first to make things right with deep sincerity. This is what the other animals get wrong.
As an herbivore, the rhino does not need to threaten other animals to gain its much-deserved respect, such respect comes from the forward moving and bigger than me actions taken daily with disturbing regularity.
Rhinos find comfort in the uncomfortable. Their mission in life is about much more than just themselves.
